Get To Know Bailey Jean Thomas

I met Bailey a little over a year ago when spending a little time in Louisville, KY. I was helping organize an art show fundraiser and Bailey was one of the artists who participated. When I first saw Bailey’s work, I was amazed at the size of her portfolio - she had drawings, collages, watercolors, handmade zines, books, and some small sculptures. I think the thing that strikes me the most about Bailey’s work, is its ability to simultaneously make you smile and feel a bit disoriented.
Here is some of Bailey’s past work!

Bailey has shown her work at the University of Louisville, National Collage Society, and HOBA Gallery - just to name a few! She describes her work as “seek[ing] to navigate our multiple realities through the familiar and tactile.” We asked Bailey to be a part of Piece. because her work is different! She has a unique perspective and we felt that her work deserved to be in the homes of animal lovers, the workspaces of the quirky, and the walls of young collectors!
